2001 GMC Yukon XL
Due to Yukons availability in two different load ratings, the Yukon XL 1500 and
2500 models can offer a more people-friendly option to brutishly heavy-duty cars.
New for 2001 is the elegant Yukon XL Denali. The Yukon XL Denali packs a bigger
engine and more complicated full-time all-wheel-drive, based on the 4WD Yukon
XL 1500. It makes standard every option offered on the regular Yukon XL models.
The car features distinctive grille, body cladding, wheels, and interior trim
that distinguish the Denali from the rest of the Yukon XL line cars.

Now the Yukon XL with the same luxurious Denali equipment kept aside previously
the shorter-wheelbase Yukon. Formerly, the upscale Denali wagon improved to the
2000 version, but for the first time came in an extended-length XL version car.
Offered only in half-ton capacity, Denalis had slightly different styling. It
offers 17-inch wheels, leather interior trim, an Autoride system with auto-adjusting
shock absorbers, and premium Bose stereo with CD changer.
The Second-row reclining buckets were available for XLs, while heated front seats
were standard in the Denali. Third-row bench seat was standard in XLs and Denalis,
but are optional for regular Yukons. Denalis had a new permanent 4WD system that
needed no driver intervention. While the Yukon can do a lot of work, as it can
carry more passengers or a lot of heavy goods, Yukon can do both simultaneously.
Yukon XL also provides a bigger towing capacity. The XL in GMC Yukon XL obviously
means extra long. The Yukon XL is based on the same platform as the Yukon, but
its prolonged 14 inches in wheelbase and about 20 inches overall improved size.
