2005 GMC Yukon XL
Styling cues distinguish the GMC from the Chevrolet. Although identical in many
characteristics, there are differences between the Suburban and the GMC Yukon
XL. The GMC is commonly more upscale in its arrangements than the Chevrolet. GMC
offers a superior level of comfort and convenience the Chevrolet. It introduces
an ultra-luxury car Denali model that combines a big 6.0-liter V8 with full-time
all-wheel-drive. The kind of combination is not available at Chevy dealer.

The 2005 GMC Yukon XL is a 4-door, offers up to 9-passenger sport-utility. This
is available in four trims, ranging from the 1/2 Ton 2WD to the 3/4 Ton 4WD. Yukon
1/2 Ton 2WD is set with a standard 5.3-liter, V8, 295-horsepower, engine that
achieves 14-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. The 3/4 Ton 4WD however,
is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter, V8, 335-horsepower engine. A 4-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. GMC Yukon XL is a maximum-size
SUV for maximum-size projects. The car can carry heavy loads to haul, big trailers
to pull, crowds of friends or family with luggage, heading off for a long vacation.
Yukon XL is more SUV than most people practically needed.
There are minor changes made to the 2005 GMC Yukon XL. The half-ton models now
earn a 160-amp alternator and a standard 3.42 axle ratio, while the three-quarter-ton
models keep 140-amp alternator and 3.73 gears. There are more enhancements made
to tire pressure monitoring and navigation systems. Two new colors also marked
the changes of the 2005 GMC Yukon XL, these are Sand Beige and Blue-Green Crystal.
Some advantages of GMC Yukon XL which are not present in other model are, the
Optional StabiliTrak, the stability control system available on 1500-series models,
and the optional Quadrasteer four-wheel steering on 2500-series models. It also
includes rear DVD entertainment system, adjustable foot pedals, the powerful V8
engines, and spacious room for passengers and cargo.
